In accordance with Trial Rule 81 of the Indiana Court Rules, the Lake Circuit and
Superior Courts hereby give notice to the bar and the public that the Courts propose to
amend LR 45-AR 00-03.3 Lake Superior Court, Criminal Division I, Community
Transition Court Fee Schedule for the courts of record of Lake County, effective 1/1/2026

Notice has been given to the public by posting on the website of the Lake County Clerk
(https://www.lakecountyin.gov) and at the Indiana Judiciary webpage for Local Rules
(https://www.in.gov/courts/publications/local-rules/), and by furnishing a copy to the
officers of the Lake County Bar Association. A paper copy of the proposed amended
local rule will be made available for viewing in the office of the Clerk of Lake County,
2293 North Main Street Crown Point, Indiana during normal business hours.
The time period for the bar and the public to comment shall begin on November 6, 2025
and shall close on December 6, 2025. The proposed amendments to the rule will be
adopted, modified or rejected before January 1, 2026.

The Federal Government has provided Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (“Recovery Funds”) through the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) to provide relief to local governmental units as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The U.S. Treasury Department (the “Treasury Department”) awarded Lake County, Indiana (the “County”) $94,301,324 in Recovery Funds. On June 15, 2021, Treasury Department advanced $47,150,662 and on June 21, 2022, Treasury Department advanced $47,150,662 of Recovery Funds to the County. The Recovery Funds allocated to the County represent an unprecedented opportunity for the County to make transformative investments in equity to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic in an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
