Superior Court Civil Division Room 7

The Lake Superior Court, Civil Division, Room Seven is a court of general civil jurisdiction hearing legal matters that include automobile accidents, bodily injury, property damage, medical negligence, real estate matters, mortgage foreclosures, contract disputes, probate matters, leases, matters involving personal property, protective orders, name changes, and debt collection. 

The Judge in this Court was appointed via the merit selection process and is subject to election for a six-year term.  The Court has a Probate Commissioner appointed by the Judges of the Superior Court. 

The Superior Court of Lake County, Civil Division, Room Seven, is located in the Lake County Government Center, 2293 N. Main Street, Room # A-110, in Crown Point, Indiana.  The Courtroom is open to the public daily. 

The Courts in the Lake County Government Center do NOT permit cellular telephones, pagers, or electronic devices of any type.
