As required by Senate Enrolled Act 4-2023, local health departments must report metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) on core public health service delivery. Reporting periods are scheduled for June and December. Local health departments report their progress in core service areas such as maternal and child health, trauma and injury prevention, chronic disease prevention, and more.
These metrics and KPIs provide vital information for local health departments to share ideas and collaborate with each other to improve core public health services. Additionally, survey data and KPIs are valuable tools for the Indiana Department of Health and its partners to identify and implement effective ways to support local health departments in delivering these essential services.
