All poll worker training is ONLINE-ONLY. Completing online training is mandatory for all Inspectors and for Clerks and Judges to receive a training bonus.
All poll workers will receive an email with a link to the new training course by Wednesday, April 29th. Be on the lookout for an email from lakecountyin.org.

Letters with information on training, FAQs, and inspector pickup times were mailed to all poll workers as of Tuesday, April 22. If you have not yet received them, you can view copies here. FYI, ONLY Inspectors or their written designees are responsible for equipment pickup on Saturday, May 2.
If something isn’t working with the online training, click the section below for the most common issues and how to fix them. If none of these resolve it, please call our office at 219-755-3795.
1. You didn’t get the welcome email
Check your Spam or Junk folder first. If it’s not there, call us — the email address we have on file may be wrong, missing, or out of date.
2. You don’t have an email address, or yours has changed
If you don’t have an email, you can create a free Gmail account at accounts.google.com. Once you have a working email, call our office so we can update your account. Don’t try to log in with the new email until we confirm we’ve updated it on our end — the username inside the training system has to be changed separately.
3. Setting your password the first time
Go to learn.lakecountyin.gov and click Log in, then Forgot password?. Enter your email and submit. Open the email you receive, click the reset link, and enter a new password in the New password and Confirm password boxes.
4. The reset link opens but you don’t see the password boxes (or it won’t let you submit)
Try opening the link in a different browser — Chrome or Microsoft Edge work best. If you’re using a phone, try a desktop or laptop instead. Click the link directly from the email rather than copying and pasting it.
5. The login page auto-fills the wrong username
This usually happens when your browser saved someone else’s login on a shared computer. Open a private (incognito) window and log in fresh, or clear your browser’s saved passwords for this site.
6. You see a message that your email is already in use
Call our office — we can usually correct this in a few minutes. This often happens if a spouse or family member shares the same email, or if you had a prior account.
7. After logging in, you see a different person’s name
Log out right away. Do not complete any training under another person’s account — your progress will not be credited to you. Call our office and we’ll fix it.
8. You finished a module but it doesn’t show as complete
Course progress syncs to our records overnight, so please allow up to 24 hours after passing a module. Make sure you finished both the video and the quiz for that module. If after 24 hours it’s still not showing, call us.
9. You’re missing one of the 10 modules
All poll workers — inspector, judge, or clerk — should see 10 modules in their training. If a module is missing, call us so we can re-enroll you.
